I will never again underestimate the benefits of having a GPS tracking device installed in a car because without which I would have lost my best friend. It was a very traumatic experience and none of us, especially in the presence of my friend, discuss what happened a few years back when my best friend was held hostage and driven by armed men to a secluded place. Fortunately we were supposed to meet at that time so when she didn’t show up I immediately know that something was up considering that never had she been inconsiderate to not even leave a message if she wasn’t coming. I immediately alerted the authorities and since she had this system we were able to trace her location before it was too late. Until now, we are not sure about the motive for this horrible incident but since then we have advised all our family and friends to have this additional safety feature installed in their cars. |

Many teenagers are always exited when they are about to graduate from high school and go to the university away from home where they could do absolutely what they want to do. I remember for me what I loved more about college was I had no curfew to abide by. Life was good and I loved every part of it. I had made friends who had taken their new freedom to the extreme. They had gotten so many penalty points for driving aimlessly. They never took the penalty points as warning signs and this got them in to a lot of problems. I saw how reckless they were on the road and I never drove with them. I used to go alone and we would meet at the destination later. The penalty points got to a point where their licenses were suspended. They knew that getting a New Driving Licence was going to be a problem because they had enough warnings. That is the downfall for premature freedom that many young people usually crave for. |

Many people do not seem to realise that it is the law for number plates to look a certain way. This is so that they can be easily recognised and the car identified if necessary. Many people like the idea of the number plate spelling a word or something like that and therefore change the spacing on the plate or moved some characters close together to make a different one. These things may look really cool but they are illegal. The popularity of this type of plate is growing and it is therefore tempting to copy the trend and have one made up for yourself.
If you like the idea of a personalised plate, then the only way to get one is to buy a plate which does spell out the word or name you are looking for. It may be possible that your favourite name, word or whatever, just is not available. This could be very disappointing but that is no reason to try to manufacture one for yourself. You will just have to find something else instead, maybe a shortened version or initials or something like that.
There is nothing to stop you having a plate made up with your name and propping it up in the car window, as long as you display the legal plates in the correct place. You could even have your name spray painted on your car or make the vehicle unique by customising it. They are plenty of options available without having to break the law. |

Moving house can be easy if you haven't lived on your own for long, and you haven't acquired a lot of stuff. In that case you may not need to do much more than pack your suitcase, and maybe a box or two of trinkets and move to the next location. If you are like me, however, and you've spent a few years at an apartment that you had more or less settled in, you would have acquired all manner of items, like a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee table, furniture, kitchen appliances and the list goes on.
Packing all that up is like packing a life and it cannot happen in one day or even a week. If you have two full weeks to do your packing, then it would be quicker for you, as you have no distractions nor interruptions other than having to feed yourself and take some bathroom breaks, or sleep. If you are working though, you should give yourself a month to do your packing.
First rule of the move is not to give yourself extra work by cooking because cooking takes time and you need all the time you can get. To make sure you do that, start packing your kitchen items first. You can call in some friends to help you. Make a party of it with takeout. Many hands are better than two that's the second rule of the move. Clean a corner of the kitchen and stack completed boxes in that corner. This might take a couple of days depending on your work schedule and the commute, but with help it will be done much quicker.
When you are done, clean out the kitchen (sweep, mop, dust, whatever) and close that door. You are not going back in there. You can survive on take-out or a friend's cooking for that month, right? Next stop is the living area. Pack all of your ornaments etc into boxes and stack them in a cleaned corner of the living space.
Stack all of your furniture in another cleaned corner of the room. Drag your bed to the middle of the living space. This gives you room to work in the bedroom while providing an uncluttered place to sleep. Follow through with the rest of the rooms in this manner. Make sure all of you dirty clothes are washed and dried and packed away by the second to last weekend, leaving out only those clothes you need to wear for the last week. As you change your clothes dump them in the laundry basket. These will be washed after you relocate. When you are finished packing and cleaning, you should still have a few days left, rent a u-haul truck and have your friends start loading up the truck. If you're hiring a "man and van", ensure they have the necessary van accessories like roof racks for vans and general racking so it's easier to organize and secure your gear during the move.
Now you're done, and ready to move, take a walk through your house to make sure you are not leaving anything behind, jump into your truck an take off to your new location. Here comes the fun part: you get to unpack everything again. This time you have all the time in the world, so you can choose to do it alone or to get your friends to help. Start with unpacking your kitchen, you know you've missed your cooking. |

I live in India. People of India don’t care about untidy streets, throwing litter and rubbish on the streets. When I was in the UK, I saw self drive road sweepers everywhere - the British take a pride in keeping their streets tidy.
People in India don’t even care whether they are hurting the prestige of their own country. They even throw the remaining and stall food of their house. The dirt on the street includes piss, scrap, banana skin, stall food, and even dead animals or animal scrap also. The worst thing in it is that even the government does not take care of this. One thing which has shocked me is the untidiness of the streets, the paper and the rubbish which people think they have the right to throw away wherever they are. People do not even respect places which are kept so attractive and beautiful for them- the parks.Moreover some people keep their useless household things on the street. Unlike inside the home where the handy kitchen trash can is used to throw our food remnants or other litter, outside is not so easy. We need to throw the litter in the garbage cans outside. We need to unlearn some bad traits and learn good and healthy behavior that will help our environment by using the outdoor trash cans. These are simply the best way for us to keep our streets free of litter and rubbish. |
