Another Hot Day Working on the Roof

posted on 14 March 2011

As I work for a roofing company, I tend to enjoy the more temperate times of the year - spring and early autumn come to mind. Winter is freezing up there on the roof, and can be very windy too. It doesn't take long for my hands to become numb and sometimes I have to stop work altogether. But summer isn't so bad - yes it's obviously hot in the middle of the day, but we work earlier in the morning when it's cooler and we can often complete jobs by around 11AM - beating the sun's hottest rays of the day. From that point on, we can work on indoor jobs, where we can use air conditioning or fans to keep us cool. So really, out of the whole year, it's only the 3 months of winter that I really dislike - the other 9 months are OK for me as a roofer.

My Beautiful Memories Of Summer Days

posted on 23 February 2011

When we hear the word summer all we think of is hot weather is coming to take its toll on us. But what we don't think is the enjoyment that we have during this summer. I still remember myself when I was a kid we had lots of fun during our summer vacation. This was the best time I ever had in the entire year. All I did during summer was play with my friends the whole day without getting bothered about school terms and tests. The only criteria for this enjoyment for me from my parents was I get good grades in final test and that was the deal. I used to make sure that I get good grades during my school years so that there was no obstruction in my enjoyment. I used to call my friends to play indoor games like chess, carom and dumb sheraz in my house during morning time and in the afternoon we used go outdoor for all fun filled activities like tracking, fishing, playing hide and seek. We used carry all types of cold beverages like lime juice, mango juice, and apple juice to keep our self cool from the scorching heat of summer, often drinking them under the pop up marquee my dad would set-up in the garden. By evening we used t get back to our homes and for the next day we waited for other friend to invite us in their house for enjoyment. All this used to go for about 15-20 days and we used to enjoy each and every day we spent with our friends during the summer vacation.

The Personification Of Nature As Nurturing Woman

We have what we called, Mother Nature. Why our nature is called a mother and not a father? It is because our nature is a powerful and nurturing woman taking care every living creature. Our mother nature has given us laws to abide. And one big rule is to take-care our nature because the nature is taking care of us. If we will harm the nature, the nature will harm us. To simplify a broad picture of our mother earth, the world, the globe, take your environment as your home. Your environment is faithfully taking care of you. It is feeding you, giving you water to drink and giving you a healthy oxygen so you can breath well. Our responsibility is to take care of our environment. We should be responsible it&rsquos hard to put cctv cameras in the jungle. The number of our policemen will not be enough if they will scatter in our mountains just to keep watch over our nature.
