Being a caterer is not an instant thing. I love cooking and being able to feed other people with my food is something that I have always wanted. My father funded me to start my own catering company. I stay in Nottingham and there is a lot of competition in that area. I did not use all the money to start a big company, I decided to start of as a small time caterer in Nottingham. I started off at my own kitchen, at first I would cater for small gatherings. When people started liking my food and also developing a certain level of trust, I had to expand. I could not keep on cooking at my own kitchen because it was too small to handle it all. It was also against the rules and regulations of catering premises. So I rented out space and had a huge kitchen constructed and hired one more chef for help in the kitchen. My client list increased and it reached a time that I had to make them make appointments according to my calendar. If I had other clients then they had to wait.
