Money can buy material things but cannot buy friendship

I have this friend who is very pampered by her parents. All her friends think that she gets everything that she wants from them. If it is material possessions and needs, there is nothing that she does not have. But when it comes to emotional needs, she tends to be very needy. Many people do not know this. There is this time she came over to pick some books and my mother invited her over and made her a nice sandwich. She was very happy. So I invited her for a sleep over just me and her and she loved it. She said that no one had ever invited her to their place because they thought she would not appreciate. This is when I realized that it is not hard to get presents for friends who have everything. She had everything that money could ever buy but not friendship and that was what I gave her when she came over to my place. She loved my mother so much because she used to dot on her every time.
