Sisters Work Together to Improve Their Way of Life

Carmen's life has always been filled with challenges. Nothing came easy for her, especially when she was much younger. Having been born to poor parents, Carmen had to quit school at least three times before she finally got her high school diploma. That's because money was always tight and there were always other things which seemed more important than education like food on the table for example. Being the eldest, Carmen knew that much is expected of her. In as much as she would want to think about herself alone, she could not also ignore the needs of her younger siblings. So after high school, Carmen decided to work. Her job as a waitress definitely made a difference. She made sure that her family won't need to skip meals anymore. With the meager income she had, she allocated a portion of it for savings just in case someone gets sick. With her support her sister, Ella, entered college and eventually worked part time as an inbound call handling agent. Since then, Carmen and Ella worked together in order to better their family's life.
