The Arrival of My Little Angel

I am a mom of 2 month old in Somerville, MA. I became pregnant in June 2010. It was great to hear that I was going to become a mom! I had severe nausea and vomiting. I vomited till the last day of my pregnancy - my maternity clothes took a right battering through the months in that respect!

It was a great experience being pregnant and the joyful part was my growing womb and reading about weekly growth by surfing the net. During the fifth month scan, I came to know it was a princess and I was happy.I developed gestational diabetes during pregnancy but now it's gone. As the baby was slightly overweight, induction was planned on Feb 23,2011.

Enjoy every moment of pregnancy, it's God's gift, and be proud that you are a mom! My little angel came to this world on Feb 24th. She weighed 7lb and 45 oz and 20 1/2 inch long. It was a 26 hour labour, and it was beautiful when I got her in my hands.I was 2cm dialated when I reached hospital on Feb 23, 8pm. They placed a pill and within 2 hrs I was 5 cm. But after that labour didn't progress. On feb 24th at 12.30pm, I was 6cm dialated, and doctors planned to break the water. The pain became unbearable, and I opted for epidural, and I was still at 6.5cm dialation till 6PM that evening. My epidural started losing its power. The doctors gave me pitocin to induce and within half an hour I was 8cm and my epidural was gone. I started pushing at 6.55PM and she was born at night: 9.43PM. She is so adorable and I loved that all the pain was for her. I was in full bed rest for 1 month as my blood loss was heavy and my tear is a 3 degree tear. Pregnancy is divine, you are blessed with a gift which is everlasting. The best part of my life is my pregnancy and the moment when I saw my daughter will be the best moment in my life.
