The Magical Patchwork Bag

I was visiting a friend in Columbus Ohio, after lunch he took me to a small shop where his girlfriend worked. The shop was filled with art, candles, some clothing and ladies handbags. While looking around I walked upstairs and across the room I spotted the most beautiful bag I have ever seen. It was a corduroy multicolored patchwork bag in neutral colors. As soon as I held it in my hand I knew I’d be taking it home with me. Modest in cost, $20, I think it paid for itself the first time I carried it. I felt cool, unique, stylish just having it with me. Somehow it went with everything, even seemed to make the most rushed, thrown together outfit seem planned and sophisticated. It was a medium sized bag but seemed to hold everything perfectly. I carried it for years until the sad day when I had worn it out.
