Website design is deceptively easy. You just download a website template, get some hosting, upload your files and away you go. That's the theory anyway. In practise, it's always more tricky. For a start, that hosting you bought? It will cause you nightmares in the future because you bought a cheap shared-hosting package, and you'll suffer regular downtime and slow loading pages. But you weren't to know that because you're a newbie. Oh and the template you downloaded? Not search engine friendly. It means your site will struggle to rank well in the search engines. Experience is everything. Us developers have gone through the mill over the years and we know what works and what doesn't. When looking for a developer in Google (e.g. using words like web development derbyshire) - it's wise to ask them about their experience of hosting and also search engine optimization and how they will help in the marketing of your site.
